Darth Teslief – Pt. 14 Finale

Four heavily armored ships crashed through the hull of the world ship. Several slaves died in the sudden decompression along with a few Yuuzhan Vong that were unlucky enough to be nearby.

From the four fighters, four spacesuits emerged. Each form was carrying a satchel with displays. Continue reading

Lousro on Dagobah – Pt. 12

Lousro was heading in the direction the ship should be. He was making slow progress. Toydarians were made to fly, not walk. He grumbled under his breath about slow healing wings and reached out through the Force to try to sense Ao again. To his annoyance, the only thing that came calling was the Dark Side. Pulling away from the connection before he was tempted to fall into old habits he continued on his way. Continue reading

RPG Corner, Character Creation – FFG Star Wars: Zala the Gungan Jedi

[RPG Corner is a monthly post where I talk about something related to Role-Playing Games.]

I decided that I wanted a recurring nemesis for a Star Wars campaign and then I thought, why not a Gungan?

I built Zala using the Inquisitor rules in Force and Destiny and I did not give her any Darkside powers as the campaign is an evil one. Unfortunately, the campaign ended up being a one-shot so she never appeared. Continue reading

Darth Teslief – Pt. 13

When Darth Teslief got out of her fighter, she noticed the dock workers were in full-blown panic mode. “What the druk is going on?” She grabbed the nearest dock worker with the Force and held him in front of her. “Why is everyone running around like a gizka with its eyes burnt out?”

“We’re retrofitting some of the fighters in storage. Apparently, Admiral Verik found a way to take out the ship. I don’t know what it is. I just know we’re giving the ships double armor and are heavily modifying the cockpits.”

Teslief threw him at the nearest group of workers who softened his fall. She then keyed on her comm and pinged the bridge. “Admiral Verik, we need to talk.” Continue reading

RPG Corner, Homebrew – FFG Star Wars: Vorse Wolves

[RPG Corner is a monthly post where I talk about something related to Role-Playing Games.]

I made up a species of wolf for a Darkside FFG Star Wars campaign that became a one-shot. The basic premise is following a Sith Lord and his Apprentice around. This is in the Old Republic era somewhere non-specific in the storyline while the Rule of Two is in practice.

The planet we started on was Ziost. According to the Wookieepedia article, the planet is in an ice age and was forested. As far as I know, this planet was referenced in the Force and Destiny beginner’s game only so there are no creatures from there with stats. Likewise, the Wookieepedia page didn’t list any creatures native to the planet. To that end, here are my Vorse Wolves. Continue reading

Lousro on Dagobah – Pt. 11

T8-T3 knew that Ao wouldn’t notice if Lousro was gone for a long period of time so he set an alarm on his internal chronometer. Once two standard hours went by he would call Lousro’s comm to try to get his whereabouts.

Sure enough, Ao didn’t notice the time but was most of the way through reassembling the ramp when the alarm went off in T8-T3’s head. T8-T3 decided to wait until the ramp was finished before alerting Ao. Continue reading

Darth Teslief – Pt. 12

The two replacement fighters exited the hanger on the Impaler. As they did so Seveth and Greel saw Teslief’s personal fighter heading for the fighter bay. They could tell she was flying line of sight by the jerky reorientation to the hanger. Just behind Teslief was Evran’s fighter with multiple scorch marks and running one engine.

Seveth fired up her comms. “Are we clear to go reengage, Darth Teslief?”

“You’re clear, but leave some for us.” Continue reading

Lousro on Dagobah Pt. 10 – Stew Interlude

Following the arrow on his holo-comm, Lousro fluttered slowly through the swamp. “Ooh, that’s an interesting looking vine. I wonder if it’s edible?” Lousro pulled it out of the tree.

Ao blankly stared at the vine. “Planning a stew master?”

“Yes, a little cooking experimentation. I don’t like the rations supplies we were given on the ship.” Lousro picked up a couple of grubs from the wet ground. “These remind me of home…they probably taste just as bad, but it won’t hurt to check.” He tossed them in one of his pockets. “See anything interesting?” Continue reading

Darth Teslief – Pt. 11

The four Sith peeled off from the fighter screen and turned to engage a group of six enemy fighters.

I’m going in. Evran did a quick corkscrew and shot blaster fire at the nearest fighter. He expected to get laser fire in return. Instead, he saw small meteor-like projectiles covered in something similar to fire, which was impossible. When it struck his shields it broke through. It skittered across his hull and then smashed into his port engine before bouncing off into space. Kriff! Continue reading

Lousro on Dagobah Pt. 9 – Connections

Lousro fluttered up an overgrown staircase, his toydarian wings struggling against the damp air. As he crested the stairs he saw Ao with his comm out. “Oh, has Tate gotten in contact with us?”

Turning to face his master, naoutolan tentacles whipping from the movement, Ao fumbled with the comm. “Master Rohao, I just hung up. Do you want me to call him back?”

“No, just send him a holo saying we’re going to be out of contact again. We’re going to explore a little.” Lousro stopped hovering and hopped a few times toward Ao. “We’re going to find the source of Dark Side corruption here, and maybe put a stop to it. Are you up to that task?” Continue reading
